SAVANNAH, GA (May 5, 2025) — On Saturday, May 17 beginning at 10 a.m., Shelter From the Rain will host its 5th Annual Motors for Moms Car Show and Wing Fest. Presented in partnership with The Eichholz Law Firm, this year’s event will include cars, trucks, motorcycles, an awards ceremony, a DJ, food trucks, kids’ activities and, for the first time, a wing contest featuring WillYum’s Food Truck, MacAttack Food Truck, 520 Wings and more. The event will be held by the lighthouse at Tanger Outlets Savannah, located at 200 Tanger Outlets Boulevard, Pooler, Georgia. Funds raised by this event will directly support Shelter From the Rain’s mission to help single parents attain economic mobility.
“While single parents in the United States are more likely to experience challenges such as job displacement, poverty and episodic or chronic depression, at Shelter From the Rain we strive to provide protection and support during the storms life sometimes sends our way” says Jennifer Graham, executive director of Shelter From the Rain. “We truly appreciate the community and our partners coming together to make rainy days into sunny days as we continue to expand our services and reach more parents in need of support.”
All proceeds from this event will help provide for single parents and their children by contributing baby supplies, household items, mentorship, support groups, virtual tutoring for students as well as training in financial literacy, homeownership and workforce development. Event sponsor Exclusive Engravings will provide the awards for Best In Show, Best Classic Car, Best Motorcycle, Best Mustang, Best Corvette, Best Truck, Best Performance Vehicle, Best Jeep and Most Unique, along with other honorary awards. The Wing Fest will also feature awards for Judge’s Choice, Crowd Favorite and the Wing Eating Contest Winner.
